Studio M is a London-based architecture and interior design studio established by Monika Jociute in 2019. No matter how big or small the project, our mission is to create spaces with unique identity and bring authenticity to each individual project. At Studio M we do not believe in following a particular style, instead, our client is the main priority. As a result, our design approach always begins with envisioning the lives of the people who will inhabit the space - we offer a complimentary project consultation so that we can get to know our clients, address their style, budget and timeframe requirements before we put together any ideas.
Engaging with the users throughout each stage is therefore extremely important to us and enables us to create habitable spaces with unique identity, tailored to each of our clients. Our creative vision, experience, and the relationships we have established help us to navigate complexities from early design through to construction stages. Steering a project through all stages of design, consultation and planning are as crucial to the initial design. Developing close relationships with our clients and project teams throughout the project cycle are fundamental in developing each project.
Monika Jociute Founding Director
Prior to setting up Studio M, Monika worked for a range of highly regarded practices such as Hawkins \ Brown, Cousins & Cousins, and Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands architects. Monika’s experience ranges from delivering the architectural design for large scale infrastructure projects such as the new Tottenham Court Road and Bond Street Crossrail 1 stations to high-end commercial and residential projects such as 1Rebel gym to large scale mixed-use developments for Berkeley Capital at Goodman’s Fields and Kidbrooke Village.
Monika’s experience of working from early stages of design through to delivery on site, leading coordination of multi-disciplinary design teams between multiple stakeholders and developing strong client relationships has provided Monika with strong design and project management abilities which have led Monika to establish Studio M.
Education and practice remain important aspects of the practice and Monika is currently an Apprenticeship Course Director at London South Bank University, where she also leads a design studio.
